Fall weddings can be so much fun. The weather is cooler, you have more options for choosing a wedding dress that won't have your running for the air conditioning,
and fall wedding ideas are so fun!
To Make These Fall Leaf Silk Wedding Initiations You Will Need:
Silk leaves (you choose the color)
Pre made heavy weigh cards
Parchment paper
Clear glue
Picture corners
Ink Pens
Paint pens (silver or gold)
To get started you should first by your plain cards. This way when you go to buy your silk leaves you can make sure they fit.
Now, take yoru silk leaves and add some colorful detail to them. To mark them elegant for the front of yoru wedding favor try using a gold or silver paint pen. Light trace and mark on the veins and edges of the silk leaves.
You can also use a small paint brush and dip it in some metallic paint. Dab the brush on a paper towel to remove excess paint, then dry brush over the silk leaf.
The raised areas will catch the paint.
Now, let the paint dry.
While the silk leaves and paint are drying you wan to work on cutting out pieces fo parchment paper or even scrapbook paper. Thes should be the same shape as your wedding invitations, but cut on inch smaller on each side.
Now, glue the silk flowers to the parchment paper.
You will need to let this dry overnight. It is a great idea to make sure the glue is dry so that you do not risk knocking the leaves off your fall wedding invitations.
By the way, do not feel limited to one leaf on each wedding invitation. You can use groups of smaller leaves.
Use picture or photo corner tabs to adhere the squares of paper with the silk leaves on them to the front of each fall wedding invitation.
I find these small photo corner holders in so many colors. Try using a metallic color photo corner tab that matches the accent paint you applied to the leaves.
Now, slide your fall wedding invitation into their envelopes and address them!
