Tips for Taking Great Horse Photos

With a few key points it isn't necessary to have a professional photographer do your horse for websites or fliers. Your knowledge puts you ahead of the game. Too often we think professional photos would be better. Several years ago with a stallion needing photos I hired a photographer - and explained in detail what I wanted to capture with this horse. I showed examples of shots I wanted to somewhat imitate. I doubt the photographer even looked at what I presented - as the photos were little more than snapshots which any child with a camera could have done. In browsing some professional sites I see similar photos. Being a professional photographer doesn't mean you'll have good *horse* photos! There are keys to doing horses that many without horses simply don't know.
