PennFuture Highlights Advantages of Wind Power for Pennsylvania

The Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future (PennFuture) is requesting all Pennsylvanian legislators to support the development of wind energy resources in the state of Pennsylvania during the upcoming special session on energy. The letter issued to all the legislators of the Pennsylvania highlights an urgent need of wind energy development for environment safety, and public health.

The letter of Pennfuture expresses serious concerns over the issue of 'global warming' affecting the arctic environment. More than one million Pennsylvanians are suffering from respiratory problems with an increased rate of mortality. The letter also conveys worries over the deforestation because of the acid rains. Increasing mercury contamination is causing life dangers for fish and other marine and wildlife. Existing coal -fired power plants are out of date and dangerous for public health. An urgent replacement is the need of the hour. The letter states that taking advantages of all the resources is necessary for building an energy future for the sate of Pennsylvania. "We must act now and wind energy must be available to help make that happen", said john Hanger, President and CEO of PennFuture.

The letter impresses upon the point that the close to perfect energy is available in the form of wind energy. It is already contributing to the state's economic growth and protecting environment and public health.
