If you are able to spend a little more on lodging, Logan offers two motels. The Inn Towner is locates in downtown Logan. This motel is priced at forty dollars per night on average. The Inn Towner is small and modest. You will not experience five star luxuries, but I have seen much worse motels than the Inn Towner. Additionally Logan offers the Shawnee Inn motel on Lake Logan Road. Rates are about fifty dollars per night. The Shawnee Inn is a nice and extremely clean motel. It is not luxurious but it is well cared for, and it is well worth the nightly rates.
While in the Hocking Hills you will no doubt enjoy many hours of hiking. The Hocking hills State Parks are by far some of the best the state has to offer. Over ten thousand acres of public trails are available for your exploration. Old Mans Cave is by far the most popular; the Natural Rockbridge is spectacular. Off the beaten path is Airplane Rock. This place is hidden in Gibisonville Ohio. Airplane Rock is great and rarely visited. Admission to all of the Parks of the Hocking Hills State Parks is always free.
Logan offers local art, lovely parks and a museum. Logan offers two antique malls that are wonderful, and there are so many wonderful shopping experiences in Logan. You can spend a little or a lot and be satisfied with your purchases. On the weekend be sure to check out the Hocking Hills Farmers Market in Rockbride Ohio.
