The Green Bay Packers return for the 2006 NFL season with the first game scheduled for August 12, 2006 in San Diego. Got your tickets yet? If not, find out how to purchase your much sought-after tickets through various areas in Wisconsin, and online. Green Bay Packers games are one of the most watched teams in the country, and tickets sell fast. There are numerous ways to support this historically small-town roots team, including a unique public and local stock ownership plan.

With three Super Bowl victories to date, and the upcoming changes in player lineups in 2006, the Packers are looking forward to another popular and successful season. Tickets are available until game day, but sell out fast. Since Lambeau’s field renovation in 2003, ticket sales have steadily increased, but premium ticket holders can count on their seats as VIP and special tickets have been purchased years beforehand.

Closer to the season, ticket prices climb as demand increases; this is just one reason to buy yours ahead of time, and know where to purchase them. Although ticket scalping is illegal, it does continue in various parts of Green Bay and Wisconsin. Ashwaubenon, an area near Brown County Arena, is home to the famous ‘Scalper’s Alley’ where vendors can sell tickets at a dropped price provided they have a permit. This is only allowed on game day after kickoff, but the risk of counterfeit tickets still remains. An increase in online exchanges also makes the risk of buying exclusively online high, as tickets may be misrepresented or fake.

Green Bay Packers season tickets at Lambeau field have been sold out for the past 46 years, and will likely not become available until the year 2040. In order to stake your claim on the (official) Green Bay Packers season-ticket list, you will need to send in a written request to:

Packers Ticket Office
P.O. Box 10628
Green Bay, WI 54307-0628.

Takeaways
  • Lambeau Field is one of Wisconsin's most famous landmarks
  • Ticket scalping IS legal only on game day in one Wisconsin area
  • The waiting list for season tickets is almost 70,000

You can call a ticket broker too, or go to Lambeau the day of the game and take a shot....There are always tickets available, and sometimes they are less expensive than you might guess - especially if it's raining/snowing. I have used Ticket King. Their office is across from Lambeau Field on Oneida Street. Their website is www.theticketking.com.
