Tired of staring at white walls? Feel like you're living inside a hospital? Here are some ways to brighten up your home without damaging the walls, ceiling or floor and get the look you have dreamed of without the risk of losing your security deposit.

1. " PaintingYour Walls "

Everyone has blank computer paper lying around. All you need for this project is blank computer paper, bright colored, paint, a paintbrush, and wall putty. Wall putty can be purchased at Walmart, it is like silly putty but is used to hold posters on your wall without the nail holes. This keeps landlords happy and you do not have to worry about having a bunch of holes in the wall when you are moving out. Pick out the colors of paint that you would like for wall colors, you can do one solid color over an entire wall or each computer paper can be a different color. When you are finished painting put a dime size amount of wall putty on each of the corners of the computer paper and stick the paper to the wall. You can even do a marbleizing look if you pick up a marble kit at your local craft store. Once secure you can hang posters on top of it or anything else just like a normal wall.

2. Carpeting

A new trend sweeping the nation is carpet Flor. Flor is a new brand of carpeting that is not only eco friendly but sells brightly colored rugs by the square foot. They are sold in rectangles and circles in bright and mellow tones. They have carpeting for indoors and also for outdoors on a patio or by a pool. You can order a sample of six carpet tiles for five dollars. You can make your own patterns or copy patterns in their catalog. These rugs will liven up any room and add brightness to your whole living space. They are not installed and can be moved easily. They are also great for pet owners especially for those with new puppies, they make for an easy clean up if the puppy has accidents in the house and the carpet underneath will not get ruined.
