Today I decided I had enough; I wanted a complete meal. My husband is a great cook, but he doesn't like to make the potatoes and vegetables to go along with whatever meat he is cooking. He had 1 1/2 pounds of unthawed hamburger, so I decided I was hungry for some meatloaf. The trick for me as I recover from thumb surgery is to get something to not move while making the meatloaf.

First, I went and took a wash cloth and got it wet, and then rubbed it back and forth on the bar of soap. I then added a little more hot water to the cloth so I could squeeze the wash cloth around to spread the soap throughout the cloth. Then I laid it over the edge of the bathroom sink and rubbed my arm and hand all over the wash cloth washing my arm and hand. I then turned on the hot and cold water faucets till I got the right temperature, and rinsed my arm and hand. After rubbing my arm and hand on a towel to dry it, it was time to start cooking.

I started to pull down my large Tupperware bowl but, my husband had the large Pyrex 2.5 quart glass bowl inside of it. Only able to use one hand I took them both down. I decided to use my Pyrex bowl because it was heavier.

I must try your recipe. Thanks! Sure is hard to do without parts of our body when they get incapacitated! My friend's husband was killed in a car wreck, and both of her arms were broken. Her mother went to Texas and brought her home, where her mother and sister had to feed her, dress her, take her to the bathroom, and everything. With both arms in casts and unable to bend them, she really felt disabled!
