Beauty and the Geek Season Four Premier Review
The Experiment Has Evolved --- Fall TV
Spoiler Warning. The Tuesday night guilty pleasure is back. Ashton Kutcher's social experiment, "Beauty and the Geek" is back for its fourth season on the CW. Let the transformation begin. Beautiful, and somewhat dense women paired with geeky, and social awkward men in a spacious, opulent mansion. Kutcher
It was an "American Idol" style contestant search for the first part of the show. The season three love birds, Nate and Jenny Lee (who say they are now just good friends) teamed up, and host, Mike Richards went solo to find contestants in different cities. Towns like Little Rock, Los Angeles, Raleigh and Las Vegas were visited. If you don't know what states they are in, you may be a beauty yourself.
During an interview, one beauty was asked her IQ. She replied, "Just slightly over not to dumb." This proved to be the case through most of the beauty contestants. The geeks didn't fare any better. A future contestant, David was queried about the letters L.A.R.P. and he replied, "Live action role playing. Like Dungeons and Dragons, only real."
Seeing the beauties for the first time John, his wispy bangs pulled apart in middle said what all the geeks must have been thinking. "Bright smiles and the sight of the skin . . . staggering."
True to the formula the geeks and beauties had to introduce themselves. The usual giggles, nervousness and fumbling were there, but Joshua took the limelight. Unable to talk about himself, he phoned his mother and let her describe him to the ladies.
The geeks took a social skills test and the beauties an IQ test for the first challenge. The geeks got to kissing and fondling a mannequin for points. One beauty stood out as maybe not so dumb in her IQ test. Hollie, the Betty Boop impersonator scored high in the word association part.
Teams were chosen; then host Mike Richards made the stunning announcement. "The experiment has evolved." And in the door walked the tenth team. A male beauty and female geek.
