Shopping and Splurging: What is Worth Paying More For?

Admit it: you've fantasized about carrying the same Chanel clutch as heiress Paris Hilton, despite the fact that you are doubtful about ever being able to afford it. Yet, as long as you're not broke, there may be some hope for you after all. Celebrities may be known for carrying their très chic designer handbags, but if you've been out and about lately, especially in the city, you'll notice that "regular" people are carrying these handbags that used to be reserved for only the ultra-wealthy. Because, if you think about it, a purse is really an investment, unlike say, your high school prom dress, which you only wore once and has been stuffed in the back of your closet for ages. This is where many women seem to mess it up, and I hope that I can educate others about what designer items are worth splurging for, and which ones aren't.
