Redskins MNF Win: Jason Campbell Coming of Age
Campbell had only one early mistake, staring down Antwaan Randle El before double clutching the throw and missing the window of opportunity, and leading to an interception by corner back William James of the Eagles. The Eagles, who come into the game with perenial All-Pro Donovan McNabb at quarterback, never quite looked in sync from the very start of the game. Although the Eagles managed to take a 6-3 lead early, the failed to capitalize on the Campbell mistake and put the ball in the end zone. At the end of the second quarter, they payed the price for not putting up a 7 on the scorboard and taking a more commanding lead. Campbell marched the Redskin's down the field completing passes on the sideline to Santana Moss as well as scampering for a long run down the right sideline where he was only tripped up by Randle El who was recovering from a block he had already thrown.
