In this sneak peek, I take a look at the pilot episode to a new drama series scheduled to air on NBC, "Journeyman." "Journeyman" is the story of Dan Vasser (played by Kevin McKidd), a newspaper reporter from San Francisco who, for no apparent reason, starts to travel back and forth through time, affecting people's lives for the better. This is all well and good, but the people in his life (such as his wife Katie, played by Gretchen Egolf), don't necessarily think his sudden and unexplained disappearances are a good thing.

I was able to get ahold of this series pilot episode (scheduled to begin airing at 10:00 PM on Monday nights, starting September 24), because of Amazon Unbox (a great digital download service I've reviewed here). Amazon Unbox is currently offering free downloads of complete pilot episodes for six brand-new television series this season: "The Big Bang Theory," "Life," "Bionic Woman," "Chuck," "K-Ville," and "Journeyman." Even before the free offer, I was pretty interested in five of the six series, and after viewing them, am even more excited, which I suppose was the point of offering the free episodes in the first place! In addition to the as-yet unaired pilot episodes for the new series, Amazon unbox is also offering, completely free, the first episode of the third season of "Prison Break," which has already begun airing this season.

WARNING: I'm pretty much going to go right through the episode, so if you're wanting to read a review of the series without really knowing what happens, then this is not the review for you. Almost the entire rest of the review is nothing but spoilers, so if that's not your thing, you'd best read something else. If, however, you like this sort of thing... here we go!
