For the past six years, we've laughed and cried with the gang at Sacred Heart. Scrubs, one of the most refreshing and interesting sitcoms in recent memory, introduced us to the life of John "J.D." Dorian (played by Zach Braff), an internal medicine intern at a hospital, as well as his colleagues -- Chris Turk (Donald Faison), a surgical intern as well as J.D.'s best friend and roommate; Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke), also an internal medicine intern; Carla Espinosa (Judy Reyes), a nurse who becomes romantically involved with Turk; Dr. Perry Cox (John C. McGinley), an attending physician and J.D.'s reluctant mentor; Dr. Bob Kelso (Ken Jenkins), the seemingly-heartless chief of medicine; and the Janitor (Neil Flynn), who constantly torments J.D. at every turn.

Over the years, we've been privy to the lives of these characters. We were there when J.D. and Elliot started dating, only to have it fall apart. We were there when Dr. Cox discovered his ex-wife Jordan (Christa Miller) was pregnant with his child. We were guests at Turk and Carla's wedding. We felt for J.D. when his father passed away (a tribute episode to the late great John Ritter, who played J.D.'s father in a previous episode). We waited with Carla and Turk for the birth of their daughter, Isabella. We helped J.D. pull Dr. Cox out of a downward spiral in his life. And through it all, we got to know the characters beyond their little quirks.

I love this show. I'm so glad it will be back for one more season anyway. I will miss it.

Scrubs... it will be missed! Oh well, there's always reruns or the episodes on DVD. Hugh Jackman would be good to see in an episode. Your article was well done- keep up the good work.

Great article, but why no love for Ted, the best lawyer on TV!?

I LOVE this show and will be sad to see it end. Congrats on being featured!

This show peaked about 5 years ago and I'm surprised it's made it this long. The story lines have gotten way too complicated and this is more of a drama than a comedy. I'm not happy to see the show going, but I am glad to see and end to all the unnecessary drama.

Great article. I didn't know if the show was going to come back. Now that it is, the fact that this will be the last season for Scrubs is not fun. This should be an entertaining season. Scrubs is a funny show. J.D. and Elliott should just move on with their lives. They play too many games and she doesn't need to jeopardize her current relationship just for a one-night stand with J.D. as for him, he is going to be a father now and needs to focus on that.

Great article. I almost forgot about the show coming back. I have been watching older episodes via Comedy Central.

This is one of the most original shows on TV. It can be silly, I'll admit, but at least it's not the kind of stupid, recycled crap we get from According to Jim or the rest of the sitcoms. Very good article!

Very cool article. My boyfriend is addicted to this show and hates that it will be no more. Nice predictions, also.

I would like to see Hugh on there as well. Oh, that would be classic! :-) Nice piece...I'm looking forward to this season with excitement and nervousness. I'll want to punch JD and Elliot if they sleep together.

I adore Scrubs, and didn't realize that this was to be the final season. Nicely written piece.
