The unique formulation of the whole wheat bran, flax seeds and whole wheat meal makes it special. As the ingredients are taken as a whole and not polished the vitamins are intact and do not get wasted. All the ingredients are certified by Kosher and this clearly states the quality of the cereal. Moreover all the contents are organic and do not contain any harmful or toxic traces of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. I am strongly against the GMO and I simply love this stuff as it does not have any of those technically superior but health wise damaging substances. The presence of puffed Kamut, a special addition by the Nature's Path makes the cereal crispier and crunchy.
A cup of the Nature's Path Optimum Power Breakfast Cereal gives you 140 calories. When compared to other cereals this is high but it is not something to get intimidated. Cut down on other toppings like nuts and use skimmed milk to compensate for the calories. Since the calories are derived from all healthy sources like oats, soy flour, wheat and blue berries, it is not that bad for health unlike those derived from fats and oils.
