Judson appeared on the Today Show June 6th, 2006 and performed parts of the piece. He has also been featured on Good Morning America as well as hundreds of internet sites and thousands of personal blogs all over the internet.
So what’s the buzz?
What is it that brings Judson so much attention? Well the dance everyone is raving about is a compilation of several songs from the history of music. Evolution of Dance is a six minute program featuring snippets from 32 songs including:
“Hound Dog” by Elvis Presley
“Y.M.C.A.” by The Village People
“Greased Lightnin’” by John Travolta
“U Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer
“Lose Yourself” by Eminem
These songs and several more are showcased due to their specific dance routines or moves associated with each of the presented songs. Evolution of Dance is a video worth watching just to reminisce about all the crazy dance moves out there that you know you performed at prom or homecoming dances.
Why did he do it?
Judson has been working as a speaker since the year 2000. He considers himself an “inspirational comedian.” To Judson an inspirational comedian is a mix of Robin Williams and Anthony Robbins. His speeches are an attempt to make people laugh but at the same time help them to think about real world issues.
The real point behind Evolution of Dance is to give a visual representation of change. After spending several months trying to think of a new and fresh way to stick out as a speaker, Judson came up with the idea for the Evolution of Dance.
If people realize from this funny six minute video how much dance has changed, then hopefully they will understand quickly every facet of life changes.
Evolution of Dance started with 12 songs and has grown.
