Niagara Falls, Ontario

Receding glaciers
gouged out basins,
filling with melted ice
forming Lake Erie.
Water spilled over
and started to flow
35 miles -then
down a cliff
below
Shale collapsing ,
water continuing to
flow
on an upstream course
to Lake Ontario
And this occurred,
12,000
years ago.

Seagulls crying
Mist arising,
Roaring Thunder,
Rock torn asunder
Sea of Water rushing
over a chiseled
horse shoe cliff.
Whirlpool rapids gushing
between age old stones adrift
Above a rainbow hovering
Below ,
A cascade plummeting
Niagara Falls,
Formed over 12,000 years ago.
