Hermit Crabs that Come with Anemones

If you thought that the Top Crown Snail was interesting you will probably find hermit crabs that come with anemones interesting too. You can actually purchase hermit crabs that have anemones on their shells. One of my hermit crabs had an anemone growing on its shell. I'm not exactly sure if it started growing there or if the hermit crab had found it and placed it there itself. A lot of crabs will find an anemone in this saltwater tank and place it on it's shell. If the crab decides that it wants a bigger shell it will then find a new shell and move the anemone with it!

This crab is definitely one of the most interesting hermit crabs you can purchase. I wanted to purchase a hermit crab with an anemone but then I realized that most hermit crabs will have one anyway. If you purchase these snails from a pet store you might expect to pay at least fifteen dollars for the hermit crab. You can purchase hermit crab food from the pet store to feed to your hermit crabs. You can also provide them with seaweed that you can attach to a veggie clip. You can purchase everything you need from the pet store. If you are having a hard time finding these little creatures you may want to try a large pet store such as PetSmart or Petland.

These hermit crabs are very easy to care for but sometimes they can get aggressive. I've had a lot of my snails killed by my hermit crabs. They will actually kill the snails so that they can steal their shells. You might have to choose a hermit crab that isn't aggressive or you might want to consider purchasing one or the other. You can have hermit crabs or you can have snails. If you don't mind the hermit crabs killing some of your snails than you can purchase both of them if you want to.
