Some movies just lend themselves to a certain time of year. You probably never miss watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation during that same season. And chances are, on Groundhog's Day, you are headed to the video store to rent the Bill Murray movie of the very same name. But what about the season of autumn? Autumn has some of the best seasonal perks to offer. The leaves change color; you get to celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving. And let's face it, we all start packing on some pounds thanks to the overabundance of pies this time of year too. But what are some great movies to watch during this crisp and festive season? I agree with your statement about The Goonies...the rest range from so-so to not even so-so..Nightmare Before Christmas, meh, I would pick The Corpse Bride over it.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is one of my fav movies. Every year we have to watch it if for nothing more than the Turkey scene. lol Classics !
