The Basics
The tribe names, flags and composition are known and confirmed now, but I'll summarize just to give us some background. The Zhan Hu tribe has a gold flag, their motif is a tiger, and members are Ashley, Chicken, Sherea, Mike, Peih-Gee, Dave, Maime, and Erik. The Fei Long tribe has a red flag, their motif is a dragon, and members are Amanda, Jean-Robert, Leslie, Todd, Denise, Aaron, Courtney, and James.

The Immunity Challenge: Fei Long by a dragon nose
This being the first episode, we skip the Reward Challenge and go straight to the Immunity Challenge. It MIGHT be a combination Reward/Immunity Challenge. What we do know is that immunity is won, and Fei Long wins it. The teams will be maneuvering large, colorful dragons, Chinese-new-year-style, through an obstacle course. The course includes wading through muck, climbing stairs, and possibly scaling walls.

Tribal Council: Bye Bye Birdie
Because Fei Long won the Immunity Challenge, Zhan Hu goes to tribal council and must give someone the boot. Steve "Chicken" Morris gets the boot. At 47 years old, he is (was) the oldest castaway this season. At home, he manages a large livestock farm. In China, like usually happens with the older castaways, save the memorable Rudy from season one ("I spent 39 days with a homosexual. That was enough"), Chicken can't seem to get the hang of these young folks' work ethic - or lack thereof. Egos rub against one another and this Chicken is kicked from the coop to spend a 38-day luxury vacation in China.
