Survivor China's Producers Build Cast for Controversy

It was clear from the introductions in the first few minutes of Survivor China that the casting was designed for some major conflicts of culture. Survivor China has to have the most diverse cast of contestants in Survivor history. Here is a list of descriptions for the contestants:

- Christian talk show host

- gay Mormon flight attendant

- female professional wrestler

- chicken farmer

- lunch lady

- professional poker player

- grave digger

- New York City waitress

- parkour performer/student

Very few of the contestants seemed to have much of an idea how to survive in the wilderness of China or any other wilderness for that matter. The chicken farmer from West Virginia (predictably called Chicken) quickly alienated himself after people in his tribe didn't want to listen to his ideas on building a shelter. Because of his brash attitude, Chicken became the first contestant kicked off the show, but he had one of the most memorable exits in Survivor.

There were a few other tricks that the producers threw in to the mix to stir up the controversy for this Survivor China. The contestants were taken to a Buddhist Temple to perform a "non-worship" ritual. The ritual caused the Christian talk show host to withdraw after the contestants were asked to perform repeated bows in front a statue of Buddha.

The next twist in the plot came when the contestants were told that they would have to leave from the temple with only the clothes on their back. This led to some scantily clad contestants at the first immunity challenge when several people competed in their underwear. Something tells me that when the producers of Survivor China knew that the uncomfortable wardrobe might mean the contestants might show a little more skin.

Survivor China has been engineered by it's producers to become a showdown of culture. This season expect the producers to come up with several twists and turns that you've never seen before. There is even a rumor of a "kidnapping scheme" that will be a part of the game. Gear up for Survivor China and all of the drama and controversy that it will entail.
