One of the finest locations for divers and adventurers is Palawan which has 1,780 islands. It is recognized as one of the least developed holiday destinations in Southeast Asia but in the entire country of the Philippines, Palawan has the most superb diving spots. One of the best locations for snorkel divers as well as sun seekers in Palawan is a place called Honda Bay.

Honda Bay is comprised of several islets with reefs that are shallow bordering the beautiful white sand beaches. Honda Bay is located at Sta. Lourdes Tagbanua, Puerto Princesa City. If visitors are looking to rent a boat to go off the island of their choice, they should go about 4 and a half miles east of Puerto Princesa in Sta. Lourdes Wharf. Other islands require a fee for entrance and some are privately owned so authorization from owners is mandatory. The Sta. Lourdes Wharf is 25 minutes away by tricycle or jeepney.

One of the best diving spots in Palawan is located at Tubbataha Reef Marine Park which is a world inheritance site. Palawan Island also offers all sorts of Jungle Eco Hikes as well as an underground river trip that is a little over 3 miles. The underground river trip should be visited between the months of December through May.
