Julia couldn't believe that she was finally getting hitched. She decided early in her planning to let her sister's bestfriend, Carla, play the role of wedding planner. Although Carla had no formal training and hadn't managed more than a handful of events, Julia still entrusted her with the preparations of one of the most important days of her life.

Carla's portfolio seemed very professional and she seemed to be as excited about the wedding plans as Julia was. In the beginning Carla was very interested in every waking detail of the wedding day. She asked all the right questions and visited Julia often with hundreds of ideas. Julia thought "this is going to be a breeze, I have everything I need without having to pay the extra cost of a certified professional."

A couple months into the planning Julia realized that Carla hadn't officially started the planning process yet. Their first meeting they only bounced around a few ideas and aspirations, and that was all. She decided to contact Carla so they could officially start the process. It seemed that weeks went by before she got a call from Carla. Carla hadn't started contacting any vendors or research on wedding details. Time was ticking away and the areas finest vendors were booking up fast. So Julia decided to pay Carla a visit so they could map out a schedule of appointments with local wedding professionals. Unfortunately once Julia arrived she was informed that Carla had other plans. She had other plans to help a friend move out of her home and told Julia this was her chance to experiment with her "OTHER PROFESSION" becoming a professional organizer. Julia became very worried and a little irritated. She told Carla she needed to know exactly when she was able to take care of her wedding plans. Carla assured her that next Monday would be better for her and Julia surrendered and went home.
