Ethical behavior is different for everyone. Different families raise people differently and teach them how to react, think and feel in different situations. Morals and values that someone is taught growing up play a major role in how they handle ethical situations later on in life.

My personal ethical development was based on how I was raised by my parents and the different influences I had from people outside my immediate family. Growing up I was taught to have extreme respect for my elders, speak only when I was spoken to, etc. I also had a great amount of contact with adults more than most children do. I was an only child and therefore had no one to play around with. Therefore I learned how to act and talk from mature adults. Every family event we had I was spoken to like an adult and was taught to always do the right thing no matter who gets hurt in the end. If someone gets hurt in the end from doing the correct thing then they were obviously the one that was doing wrong. Doing the right thing will only make me prosper and nothing will come back at me.
