In distant paths I traveled, often I chanced myself in foolish love affairs,
at least none that would satisfy my yearning deep down in my heart.

Life was eventful and often I found myself in one drama after another,
always leaving me pleading for mercy and searching for something different.

Afloat on silent waters in the midst of a hot summer day, I gazed at the barren clouds
drifting by in the sky.

I embellished myself with soothing oil and soaked up some more of the hot summer day.
And then the water drifted and carried me away.

Foolish heart of mine always facing an uncertain moment in time.

One would think after this many years and so many tears, I would not let my foolish heart slip and fall for another hurtful moment.
Oops, I said as I washed the uncontrollable rain from my face.

How is it that every corner of my heart wants to take back every lost moment stolen from the fools I have been entangled with.
Yet, still there it is another beat away from yet another hopeless disaster.

He did not ride in on a white horse, but He should have.

Brave and bold, his eyes were like brazen gold.

I heard of this love when I was but seven years old.

Could this be the one and would my journey finally be done?

My search and quest was not to be blessed, but to find my one and only true love!

I let you into my heart resisting you was not an option.
My body magnificent with warmth like a hot glistening sun
now spoiling me forever more.

I delight in your everlasting tomorrows.
I gaze at your amazing love.
What you gave up for me and others like me.

Your engraved invitation always remains in my heart
and the shadows of dim lit skies will never hide your love for me.

You are here and I am free!

I cannot fault you for the cracks in the Earth
or for that lost child at birth.

Your laughter spills out and down the rivers edge
until I embrace your cool breeze that tempted me to an endless journey.

I search for hero's no more
for you are the only one.
I have no room for untrue lovers and empty smiles.

My dreams abide in you and with you.
I rejoice in your true love which embraces me.
