In the mornings I'm usually in a rush out the door with barely any time for breakfast. That's why I decided to purchase some frozen breakfast meals including Aunt Jemima Great Starts Meals.

I bought three of the varieties of the Aunt Jemina Great Starts Meals: French Toast and Sausage, Scrambled Eggs and Bacon with Hash Brown Potatoes and Scrambled Eggs and Sausage With Hash Brown Potatoes. I tried these meals because Aunt Jemima is a trusted brand and I enjoy the more traditional products such as the maple syrup and waffles.

Here is what I thought of the three varieties I purchased:

French Toast and Sausage. This was the meal I was most skeptical about. The idea of microwaving French toast didn't seem realistic, but I decided to give it a try. I did just as the package instructed, but the French toast came out soggy. I like for my French toast to be firm. It only got worse after I put syrup on the French toast. I only ate a couple of bites before throwing it away. I should have left this meal at the store. The only way I would give these another try is if I use a conventional oven, which I don't have time for in the mornings. I did eat the sausage which was rather good.

Scrambled Eggs and Bacon with Hash Brown Potatoes. As I tasted this meal I was pleasantly surprised that the eggs were rather tasty. The eggs were firm which I like. The hash brown potatoes were delicious and had just the right amount of crispiness. The bacon was not crispy, but I didn't expect it to be. I prefer my bacon a little soft so it was just right for me

Scrambled Eggs and Sausage With Hash Brown Potatoes. This meal is similar to the previous one except that it comes with sausage instead of bacon. The two pieces of sausage were delicious and complemented the rest of the meal nicely. I made sure not to overheat the sausage because it can get pretty tough if overheated.

I find it hard to imagine eating eggs that have been cooked and frozen. So I am in awe of your conclusions.

Tough call. I tried them for my kids, since they are homeschooled, and who wants to cook breakfast every day, or eat cold cereal every day. My persnickety child didn't care for them. The other would eat anything, including the box.

I've looked at these at the grocery but have decided not to buy them everytime. Hmm, maybe it's better I passed. Thanks for a fine review!
