Hinduism is most popular religion in New Delhi. It is a system of thout with beliefs including atheism, monism, pantheism, panentheism, polytheism, and monotheism. Hinduism is also known as henotheistic, which means that while accepting the existence of other gods, one is devoted to a single "God". Hindus believe in moksha, samsara, and karma.
Karma
Karma is the "moral law of cause and effect" and is translated literally as a work or deed or action. The jiva-atma or individual develops sankaras from actions, may it be mental or physical. Sankaras is translated as impressions. Karma joins the idea of destiny and free will. Karma is also known as "what goes around comes around".
Samsara
The samsara is a continuum of action, rebirth, death, birth, and reaction cycle. The idea of karma and reincarnation is one of the primary Hindu beliefs. In samsara, the person has the desire to be reborn or rebirth to enjoy or have the pleasures of a destructible body.
Moksha
The moksha is the emancipation from the cycle of samsara. Moksha is also referred to as samadhi or nirvana. It is the understanding of one's eternal relationship with God or one's union with God. It is also described as the understanding of the unity of all existence, achievement of perfect mental peace, perfect unselfishness of the Self.
Modern Science
Under colonialism, modern science was introduced to India. When colonialism reached its peak and then ended, modern science continuously rose until today. Now, modern science is a part of how India wants to project itself, getting political advantage and legitimation from it.
