My Fascination with Supernatural: Season 2 is Here
I am eagerly awaiting the return of my favorite show, Supernatural, on October 4. I have never been so involved in a television program in all of my life. I have to admit: The eagerness stems from interaction with other fans. That is also something I have never
done before even in the days of Star Trek, and I am a Trekkie, I confess. The thing is all if us. fangirls and guys, truly do want to know what happens next. It's not just the hot ghost-hunting guys that ride around all day in a 1967, or some say, 1965 Chevy Impala.
The start of season two was sad for all of us. Our beloved John Winchester, Papa, to us fans, passed away in the first episode. He did so with finesse and I say that tongue in cheek because he died to save his son, Dean, who was on his death bed. Okay, Dean wasn't on the death bed because he was walking around as a ghost of himself chasing reapers. But I digress. Dean was effectively dead but his father's sacrifice brought him back to life. It was a bittersweet beginning to an awesome season. I have to say I loved twenty one out of twenty two episodes so I will hit the highlights for those who do not, shame on you, watch the show.
Around episode five, it was called Simon Said, we met another gifted young men like Sam, who has visions. The young man's name was Andy and he was able to make people do things by using his mind. He was a simple person who only used his gift for life's every day needs. Well, unknown to sweet Andy he had a twin brother who had the same gift, but he had moved to Andy's town and begun to use his gift for murder. Andy had no idea until the Winchester's came to town. This episode showed us how the gifts can be used for good or evil. I believe in the upcoming season Sam will have to make that choice.
