Laptop Computers
Laptops are ideal for work-at-home parents as they enable you to work in just about any space imaginable. Whether you work in your child's bedroom or at the park, you never have to worry about not meeting a deadline, as you can always do a little bit of work with your laptop computer.
If you are interested in purchasing a laptop computer, it is advised that you do so online. In addition to easy product and price comparisons, there are many programs, such as MyPoints, that reward you for making purchases online. The larger the purchase, like a laptop computer, the larger the rewards should be.
As an additional tip, be sure to at least examine all warranty plans and accidental damage plans. Speaking from personal experience, you can never be too careful when it comes to expensive office equipment and children.
TV Trays or Moveable Computer Desks
As ideal as laptops are for work-at-home parents, there are some jobs that do not permit the use of them. For instance, it is not uncommon for many telecommuting jobs to require the use of a desktop computer. If that is the case, a lightweight desktop computer and a moveable computer desk may be of great assistance to you.
Even if you own a laptop, you may want to invest in a foldable chair and a TV tray. These tools may enable you to work in your child's playroom or outdoors, while still giving you that professional office feel.
