Peru's public transport system includes highways, airport, and railroads; and for every destination there is a best and more convenient way to get there. Other services are also included in trains, and buses like free meals, television, restroom, and etc. Enjoy each trip and vehicle for that adventurous experience. You can take a taxi as well for that more convenient transportation from one place to another.

Fly high on a plane

The best way to go from Lima to Cuzco is by flying. There are also buses that you can board but it takes 30 hours, so take the plane for you to be able to save time and money. There are several flights daily which cost approximately $70 US. You can take TANS and LAN airlines because their services are better.

Peru's national airline is called the Aeroperú which offers international and domestic service. Peru's main international airports are located near Cusco Iquitos, Arequipa, and Lima.

Taking the "choo choo" train

Peru has 1,051 mi or 1,691 km of railroads. The Central Railroad is 15,800 feet or 4815 meters above sea level which is considered as the highest point reached by any line in the world that is standard-gauge.

There is also a very remarkable inland waterway which is called the Amazon River. Here you can board a ship to go to Peru if you're from the Atlantic Ocean. You can also cruise the Lake Titicaca which is also a waterway. The most popular seaports in Peru are Salaverry, Callao, San Juan, Paita, and Pacasmayo.

In the south of Peru, there's an available passenger train service. This is only available only in that area and the accessible services are from Cusco to Puno, Urubamba to Macchu Picchu, and Cusco to Macchu Picchu.

On a bus or taxi in the highway

The cost of going everywhere in town is 2 sole riding a taxi but when you go farther away from the central then you have to make an arrangement for the fare with the driver before you board the vehicle.

In Peru, several bus companies are also available. The best way to go from Cusco to the valley is by taking the bus. The mountains make transportation difficult by bus, however.
