Bowling in Leavenworth, Kansas

There are three places you can bowl in the Leavenworth, Kansas area, Crown Lanes, Skyway Lanes, and the Fort Leavenworth Bowling Center. All three are located in Leavenworth and have the proper facilities for all your bowling needs. So which one should you choose for the best night of bowling for you or your family and friends? Well I can’t tell you which one you will like best but I can tell you what I like about each one and what I dislike and you can make your decision based on my vast knowledge of basically everything.

So we will start with Skyway Lanes located right on the main street, 5037 S 4th Street, Leavenworth. Also known as the Cancer Alley, because of the heavy smoking that goes on inside this place. Why is it at bowling alleys people seem to smoke 4 packs every hour, and when there are 50 people doing it, you can basically cut the smoke laden air with a knife. This place has few positives to me, mainly because I am a non-smoker and I don’t like smelling like smoke for 4 years after I leave someplace.

They do however have good prices so if you can put up with the smoke you can get some cheap bowling in. Standard bowling is $2.75 a game and $2 for shoes, but if you have 3-6 people you can get 1 and a half hours of bowling, shoes, a pizza, 2 jugs of pop all for the low price of $48 dollars. If you split this deal 6 ways it is a good deal. You get a lot of bowling for that price plus they feed you. They also have cosmic bowling on Friday and Saturday nights, for $10 dollars you can bowl from 9:30 until midnight, this includes shoe rental.

They also have leagues many nights of the week and on weekends but you will have to go check them out for that info there was so too many different types to list. Call them at (913) 727-6650.

Crown Lanes is a newer facility built about 10 years ago, it has updated equipment and is a pretty nice little bowling alley. Bigger and more spread out it has a nice layout and feels comfortable and spacious. Lots of lanes to choose from and plenty of leagues and fun nights with disco bowling make this a great place for families to come and bowl.
