When asked the question should we pull our brave men and women fighting for our freedom in Iraq out most Americans would say yes, we should bring our troops to safety, but in reality if we left Iraq to fend for themselves all hell would break loose.

If we were to take all of the American military forces from Iraq we would quickly see the Iraqi government overthrown and a terrorist militant group take over. The new country of Iraq is to new and fragile for America to pack up and leave. If we were to abandon the new Iraqi government would quickly fall and the country of Iraq would be taken over by another dictatorship, or terrorist group.

You can only hope that the next president in office does not make the foolish decision of pulling out, if that was is the case America would be looked down upon in the future as a country that could not finish what they started. I believe we are making a difference in Iraq now and the situation is constantly improving. If we were to leave Iraq the last defense of the Iraqi people would be the Kurds.

The Kurds have been keeping the peace in northern Iraq since the beginning of the war. What you don't see in the news is the peace in some villages because of good Iraqi people not in the mood to be troubled again by violence, if we to pull out these innocent people would have to face it day after day; this is not what America stands for. As a country of great wealth and fortune, it is our duty to look out for smaller and less fortunate countries, and by pulling out of Iraq America is not fulfilling its duty.
