Continuing the fantastic adventures of the Guild Wars series the expansion Eye of the North adds some great story driven content along with some fantastic new lands to roam and fight in. The Eye of the North is an expansion to the existing Guild Wars universe and requires one of the three original Guild Wars games; Guild Wars, Guild Wars Factions or Guild Wars Nightfall.

To enter the expansion they have used the great storyline of an additional mission from one of the cities of the three Guild Wars games. You follow your individual mission to find yourself in Tyria but in the north area that has been previously unvisited by Guild Wars fans with no way to return. This brings about the first area of caution that is required; don't leave home without your equipment.

Once in the expansion you will not be allowed to return to the other areas of Guild Wars with that character and you will not be allowed to buy or sell equipment until you've proven yourself in battle in the new lands. You also need to be level 20 in order to enter the Eye of the North so don't bother trying until you are.

The Eye of the North is a large structure that mysteriously appeared in the Far Shiverpeaks and is the center of the new disturbance and activities of the area. The story is a continuation of the original Guild Wars story even with some familiar characters but it is not necessary to have been through that previous edition to understand this new one.

The story follows a new destructive race that has erupted in the lands and you have to defeat them by gathering forces and fighting battles together against these new enemies. Several of the first missions will be to gather these forces and find others that might band with you as well as some smaller missions. The newest race to arrive on the scene wants to destroy the entire land of Tyria so you must band together if any one race wishes to survive the upcoming wars.
