Autumn is here and with it comes cooler weather and changing colors. This can be a perfect time to get out and do some fun seasonal activities with your kids. There are many great adventures that parents can do to share the beauty of Autumn with there children. Here are my top ten favorite ideas. I hope they inspire you to have some fun Autumn adventures of your own.

Apple picking is the classic Autumn activity. Many orchards open up during the Autumn months to allow families and small groups in. Picking apples is a great way to se nature in action and enjoy the changes that Autumn brings.

Once you have your apples why not enjoy the sweet rewards. Hot apple cider, warm applepies, and even homemade apple sauce are all great Autumn treats. If your kids are more artisticlly inclined you could have them try apple stamping. Dip slices of apples or apple halves into paint and stamp them onto paper, clothing, bags, you name it! It is a fun way to celebrate the fruit of Autumn.

When the weather is beautiful and nature is putting on her best dress taking a walk can be the perfect Autumn activity. There are so many thigns to see. From the leaves changing colors to the animals storing food for the winter to come, Autmn is a time of excitement and change. Bring along a sketch pad and somethign to draw with and let you children record their own images of Autumn along the walk. You can also bring along a camera and let them capture the natural scenes that inspire them.

Like apple stamping leaf stamping is another fun Autumn activty that kids of all ages can enjoy. Using leaves to stamp paint onto paper or clothing is a great way to create Autumn memories. You can create handmade cards, picture frames, aprons, tote bags, or anything else with a great Autumn theme of falling leaves.

If you decide to take a walk and collect leaves for leaf stamping you should also look for small twigs, nuts, seeds, and things from nature. Put them all together with a little glue, ribbon, and wire and you can create a beautiful Autumn wreath to hang on your door.

I'm not a kid, nor do I have any, but these still look like fun! I haven't been apple picking in so long!
