How to Lose Weight Sucessfully and Easily

Losing weight seems to be an endless battle sometimes. However, with the right strategy it can be easier. Before you try to lose or gain weight it is important to know that It takes 3,500 calories taken in to gain a pound and the same amount burned to lose a pound. So you can compare how
many calories you are taking in with how many you are burning daily.

BMR- the BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is how many calories you burn while at rest. This is the minimal amount of calories you need to perform the basic functions required to survive. If you go below this amount your body will go into starvation mode and will store each and every calorie you eat as fat. This is one reason that fad diets may help you take off a few pounds and then when you just can't go on anymore and cheat or give up on the diet completely you gain back all you lost plus additional weight.

The easiest way to lose weight successfully would be to go to a website or find a way to calculate your BMR and then eat no more than 600 calories below this number of calories. This way you achieve two goals. You are eating fewer calories than you have taken in, and you lose the weight you want to without feeling hungry. You are able to eat almost anything within reason. Because you are eating less, it is wise to eat highly nutritious food. Broccoli is a very nutritious food that is full of natural fiber thus helping you to both get the nutrition you need while feeling full.

Additionally your body does not go into starvation mode because you are eating enough calories in order for your body to function without needing to store all you do eat as fat. Because your body is not needing to go into starvation mode, you do not feel constantly hungry and you do not crave things. If you consider all of the calories you take in daily you are able to cheat occasionally and therefore you will not feel like you are giving up everything .

Thanks for the advice. I have been cutting calories and exercising like crazy, but have only dropped one pound in a week. I will definitely look this information up as I am seriously trying to lose at least 20 pounds and am getting more and more frustrated as the days go by with no results.

Thanks for the info. When I hit a plateau on a recent diet I added in more good fats since I found I was eating less fat than I really needed and I started to lose weight again. Who would have thought adding in something like almonds and even dark chocolate could HELP my diet?! Good read.
