Survivor: China Episode 2 ("My Mom is Going to Kill me!")Who gets the boot in Episode 2 of Survivor: China? Which team wins immunity? Analysis of previews and promotional footage reveals these answers and more!
Spoiler - Reward Challenge Winner: Fei Long
Survivor episode 2 also marks the season's first Reward Challenge, called "Chinese Checkers." Apparently Jeff Probst will pull one of three levers, sending giant, strange balls down a chute to land amongst the tribes. The contestants must roll the giant balls to their matching color-coded mats. Yawn.
But wait - what else is at the bottom of the chute? Mud? Mud. A whole lot of mud. It just got more interesting. The Survivor tribes engage in some full-contact mud wrestling. You'd think WWE diva Ashley Massaro might do well at this kind of thing, and you'd be right. Jean-Robert appears to lose his pants to Ashley's advanced grappling technique. I can guarantee they'll edit that down to almost nothing, so don't blink or you'll miss it.
In the end, Fei Long pulls out the reward challenge win, and chooses Zhan Hu member Jaime for their captive until the next reward challenge.
Spoiler - Kidnapped: Jaime
This marks the first week of Survivor's twist for this season. The tribe that wins the Reward Challenge gets to choose a member of the losing tribe to "kidnap" until the next challenge.
Here's how it works. The kidnapped victim takes a note to the enemy tribe from Jeff Probst himself. The note offers a clue to the location of the Hidden Immunity Idol. It's up to the kidnapped visitor to decide who to give the clue to in the enemy tribe.
In actuality, it's not exactly kidnapping. Rather, it's wedging a spy situation into the Survivor game. Not only does the kidnappee have the opportunity to watch and learn and gather information to take back to his or her own tribe, the enemy tribe may try to glean information from the kidnappee. I'm thinking the producers want to see some advanced intrigue develop so they can crow, "We gave them copies of The Art of War and they totally read it and put it to use!" instead of, "We gave them copies of The Art of War and they all used it for toilet paper!"
