This shrimp is very easy to care for and it's very peaceful as well. You don't have to worry about it picking on smaller shrimp, like most shrimp will do. As long as you have the correct salinity and temperature in your saltwater tank then you should have no problems with the Anemone Shrimp. You will want to keep the salinity at around 1.022 to 1.026. You will also want to keep a heater in your fish tank and make sure the tank stays between 72 and 76 degrees. As long as you do these two things right, you shouldn't have a problem keeping the shrimp alive. You will also want to do water changes because all shrimp are very sensitive to high ammonia and nitrate levels. To keep the levels down you will want to change the water once every two weeks and remove about 25% of the water each time.
You will not have to worry about these shrimp destroying your hard or soft coral. They will not kill any of your other invertebrates. You will want to provide at least a couple of inches of substrate or sand at the bottom of the tank so that the Anemone Shrimp can dig through the sand to find food. You will want to feed the shrimp a variety of different fish flakes as well as frozen brine shrimp and mysis shrimp. If you check the freezer section of your local pet store you will be able to find saltwater variety packs that come with a variety of foods that these shrimp as well as your fish, will often times love to eat.
