Long Island Dance Clubs - Olivium Lounge Review

The Olivium Lounge, located in Hicksville, Long Island, is an intriguing combination of a restaurant, dance club, and a lounge, with a compelling atmosphere. At the present time, it has only been open a few months and appears to still be settling into its market, but the potential for success for the trendy-styled dance club is definitely there as more people on Long Island begin to take note and the Olivium Lounge engages in more promotion.

The restaurant and lounge is located adjacent to the Day's Inn on South Oyster Bay Road. The bar area, within the lounge and adjacent to the dance floor, is adjacent to the restaurant portion of the Olivium Lounge, and patrons can easily enter one from the other. Although the Olivium Lounge will probably garner more attention as a restaurant at first, the dance club portion should not be overlooked, especially when you can first enjoy a fine meal in the restaurant, and then follow it up with a fun night of dancing and socializing.

I did not have the chance to sample the restaurant itself, but the menu looks promising, combining standard American flair with Mediterranean cuisine. The lounge also has an accompanying bar menu with plenty of items delicious items to choose from.

The dance club is not large, but is definitely of adequate size for a Long Island dance club, easily able to accommodate a large amount of people. Surrounded by comfortable couches, a few tables and chairs, and plenty of barstools alongside the bar, the open floor of the lounge promises an easy transition from relaxing gathering place to energetic dance club.
