Try taking an item like an old rusty rake and decorating it to hang on your front door this fall. You can also use an old shovel, hoe, or other yard tools. For small scale fall door decorations use hand trowels and other garden tools.
Now, lay your rusty rake flat on a table.
Lay out some silk or real flowers in a bunch. You can add some real branches with leave or silk leaves still attached to the branches. Birch branches also woke well and last a long time.
Now, take a long piece of velvet fall colored ribbon. This will really tie together your fall front door decoration project, literally! You want to lay your ribbon front side down. In the middle lay the bunch of silk leaves and flowers.
Now, pull the ribbon around and tie it in a knot. Now, lay the bunch of fall leave on the front of the rake, at the top most point of the handle, where it touches the metal rake part.
Pull the fall colored ribbon behind the needle and tie it in a knot there to hold your fall front door decorating in place.
Now, pull the fall colored ribbon back to the front of the old rusty rake and finish it off in a nice bow.
This will securely hold the fall leaves and silk flowers in place.
Tip: if you do not like silk flowers or leaves, then cut leaves out of old coke cans. Paint them out in any collor you want.
Now, use a hook on the front door and slip the Fall door decoration on it. The ribbon yoru tide so many times around will be sturdy enough to simply slip on the hook.
