There's all sorts of references and research materials on what is good for you food-wise and what is not yet instead of taking such information into consideration most americans continue to eat themselves to an early grave. No, this is not an article referring to the obesity problems that we as americans face on a daily basis. Perhaps that will be an inspiration to a future article. However, like obesity which is in fact one of the most common diseases we are faced with in this day and age, there are plenty more diseases and health problems that also face us.

Suppose you could prevent certain diseases or even lessen the symptoms of certain diseases from finding their way into your body by eating just a simple group of certain self proclaimed superfoods? Wouldn't that be remarkable? Or would you perhaps be one the percentage that overlooks important information all together who could perhaps someday be one of those struck by a serious health condition which could have prevented had you just took such beneficial information into consideration.

The following foods are regarded as superfoods and each one has beneficial properties of prevention and better health.

Broccoli contain multiple vitamins such as vitamins a and c not to mention beta carotene and fiber.

Fresh cloves of garlic or garlic powder can lower cholesterol and blood pressure. It is also said to contain properties that may rid the body of cancer cells.

Spinach, not the most favorable of foods to most people but none the less contains vitamins a and c, folic acid and magnesium. The combination of these can help with controlling cancer, the reduction of heart disease and stroke risk while also blocking free radicals which can prevent osteoporosis.

Tomatoes contains lycopenes which is an antioxidant more potent than that of vitamin c. Lycopenes can stimulate your immune system and could possible slow down degenerative diseases.

Carrots eaten every other day can provide you with enough beta carotene to prevent and reduce stroke risk by half or more for the male gender who already show some symptoms and signs of heart disease.

Good article and truely worth many reading. The enzymes and things that all add to our lives would be well used by our bodies if we only gave it a chance. I am afraid that all the processing is not helping our society. Thank you for writing this.
