To be happy is the ultimate goal of all human beings. People chase the dream in many different ways but all roads are in the pursuit of happiness. One man may try to spend as much time as possible with his family to achieve happiness, whereas another man may earn as much money as possible. One person may surround themselves with many friends to chase happiness, while another may seek solitude. This leads us to our first truth:

TRUTH #1 - Happiness Is Individual

Since happiness is individual, it is impossible for me to give you a "to-do" list to become happy. So instead I am offering you some guidelines that you can apply to yourself so that you can find happiness in your own way. We must now explore the difference between being happy and feeling happy. This leads us to our second truth:

TRUTH #2 - Happiness Is A Lifestyle

It is impossible that one could feel happy all of the time. No matter what you do, you are going to get sick, disappointed, hurt, betrayed, treated unfairly, and a myriad of other things that will make you feel unhappy. So, our goal is not to rid our lives of any possibility of hurt, but rather to learn to be content and whole in any situation. This is the essence of making happiness a lifestyle. This leads us to our third truth:

TRUTH #3 - Happiness Is A Choice

Since we cannot control the bad things that may happen to us in our lives, we must choose to be happy through any circumstance. This is only possible through making a conscious choice to be happy. You must realize that God is in control and you are not. Know that if you trust in Him, He will lead your life in the direction that is right for you. Choose to find rest in that fact. That way, you can rejoice in any circumstance because you know that you are in God's will. There is no happiness without faith in God. Life is a road that will take many turns. Constantly chasing happiness is a sure way to never reach it. That's because happiness is not a destination, it is a journey. This leads us to our fourth truth:

TRUTH #4 - Happiness Is A Journey
