How the Constitution Destroys Liberty

The Constitution of the United States has been a guide and a symbol of American government since the installation of the Judicial branch; its final ratification on February 2nd, 1790. It has also been subject to much criticism and controversy, especially when dealing with the rights of the people and the so-called democratic process the government has claimed it was created to instill. Since the integration of the Constitution in to American society, however, it has been abundantly clear that the document's purpose was not only to uphold a stringent hierarchical society, but to extirpate any kind of civil equality whatsoever. It is important to remember that it was wealthy, white, misogynistic men waxing freedom and liberty in this document-Ergo, it was also specifically wealthy white men who were allowed in to the upper class of the American hierarchy. The top, of course, consists of the wealthy and the elected. These people are the ones who own everything from media to clothing, and control much of what the people are allowed to read and hear. It is because of this that the Elite keep control. They use this power to keep the middle and lower classes (the ignorant masses, as they are often referred to) fighting among each other. Throughout history, it has been done with racism, immigration, religion, or anything else they can find that differentiates us from one another. Along with social injustice, it should be noted that the very structure of American government itself gives rise to hierarchical power and degradation to the democratic process itself.
