I love for my laundry to smell clean and fresh, but I also love for it to be soft. While there are several different brands of fabric softener available, I haven't had a lot of luck with them. Many brands require you to use much more than the instructions claim. Others simply don't work. I recently got the chance to try Downy Pure Essentials. Having just tried Tide Pure Essentials, I was actually pretty excited about trying this new product. I decided to put Downy Pure Essentials to the ultimate test. I decided to use this product while washing a load of bath towels. To me, towels should feel incredibly soft and smell fresh and clean. Would Downy Pure Essentials leave my towels soft and fresh or would my towels be rough and scratchy?

Downy Pure Essentials Review: Smell

As soon as I added Downy Pure Essentials to the rinse cycle it smelled wonderful. I was using the Aloe and White Lilac scent and it is such a soothing scent. Once I had added the items to the dryer, my laundry room began to smell wonderful. The scent filled the air and also lasted quite well. When I removed the items from the dryer they smelled so good.

Downy Pure Essentials Review: Softness

I couldn't believe how soft my bath towels were. My bath towels haven't been that soft in a long time and I've used several different varieties of fabric softeners. But, Downy Pure Essentials proved to be the perfect brand. Now a hot shower is made even more relaxing when I step out and dry off with a towel that not only smells amazing, but is soft and fluffy as well.

Downy Pure Essentials Review: Varieties

Downy Pure Essentials comes in two different varieties. You can either choose the Aloe and White Lilac scent or the Chamomile and Lemon Verbena scent. Either of these varieties will leave your clothes smelling fresh and feeling soft.
