Decorating with silk flower arrangements adds splashes of color and beauty to your home. If you would like to create room décor with one-of-a-kind focal points, add unusual accessories to your floral arrangement displays. Here are some decorating ideas to get you started.

Silk flowers with Human Figures or Statues
Include a human figurine or statue as part of your arrangement, or place one in front of it. You can use a figure you already own or shop for one in department, home decor, or garden accessory stores. You may also find unusual figurines at garage or estate sales, secondhand stores, and antique shops.

Select silk flower colors and types for your arrangement that compliment the figure. For instance, when decorating a bathroom I placed a tall statue of a draped feminine figure in front of a large arrangement of exotic, trailing silk flowers. The graceful lines of the flowers complemented her equally graceful pose, and created the lush, colorful look I was after. All kinds of figures can be used for this idea - ethnic, religious, mythical, supernatural, etc. Choose a figure that you love and work from there.

Silk Flowers with Animal Figure or Statue
You can also create unusual floral arrangements by adding an animal figure or statue, or placing one in front of it. The colors and types of flowers you choose should compliment the figure. A variety of moods can be suggested by the animal figurine or statue selected - country / farm, exotic / jungle, aquatic, tropical etc.

Silk Flowers with matching Wall Décor
A unique silk flower arrangement can be created by mounting matching floral artwork behind it. For example, start with a floral print or original painting or drawing, and make your arrangement by matching the flowers and colors as closely as possible. You can work in the opposite direction also, by first making your arrangement, and then creating matching artwork such as decoupage or collage.
