Marijuana is a widely used drug in the United States, and around the world. Its affordability and euphoric effects have made it very popular in the United States, despite its illegality since the early party of the 20th century. The buds of the female cannabis plant can be harvested, dried smoked to produce a euphoric and hallucinogenic effect. Many people do use and grow marijuana for personal use, or for selling for a profit. Many people believe it should be legalized in the United States for a number of reasons, some believe it is there right to be able to do what they want in the privacy of there home, and others believe that it is simply impractical for the government to spend so much money enforcing the law, when so much money could be made off of it.

6.1 % of US citizens are current marijuana users
