How was your weekend sports fans? The doctor told me that my right thumb suffered no permanent damage but did suggest either switching the remote to the left or getting my lazy self off the couch for a few hours.

Did you get up early to watch the Women's World Cup match of Saturday? that's how my sports weekend began. Love the ladies. C'mon, Abby Wambach playing with stitches in her head, Stephanie Lopez gets staples in her brain after getting a punch from her own goalkeeper, Hope Solo, (not to be confused with Han or Napoleon Solo), and she stays in the game. Nice! Oh, and then the red/white and blue go out and beat the Brits. Does it get any better?? Cheers Ladies. Let's see if they can stop Brazil on Thursday. Yeah, I know I'll be one of three people watching but, we'll enjoy it.

But I won't enjoy the lame ESPN commercials with "Jim Mike" the PR guy. Please. Yes, the USA Women's World Cup Team is the best team no one has heard of but these ads only make us vomit. Typical, over hyped trash from ESPN. Why not show some highlights of the skill and courage they've shown on the field. Want people to take women's soccer seriously in this country (sorry, won't happen) but at least make an attempt to sell this sport in the USA with some class. Can these stupid promos. If I want my intelligence insulted, I'll go watch pro-wrestling.
