Review of the Baby Einstein Lights and Melodies Bouncer

When preparing for the birth of our first baby we chose to register for the Baby Einstein Lights and Melodies Bouncer as a baby seat/bouncy seat for our newborn. We ended up getting two of these items as baby shower gifts and after using one for a while actually decided to keep both Baby Einstein Lights and Melodies Bouncers because we like the product so much. Here is our experience.

The Baby Einstein Lights and Melodies Bouncer is a typical baby bouncer in that it offers a reclined seat appropriate for a newborn which moves and bounces with your baby's slightest movements. In addition to the basic bouncer design, the Baby Einstein Lights and Melodies Bouncer also has musical and lighted features, as indicated in the name. The musical selections include classical pieces from composers such as Mozart, just as most Baby Einstein items have. The pleasing melodies are great for newborns, and are also very easy on the ears for adults.

The Baby Einstein Lights and Melodies Bouncer is very colorful in mostly primary colors and green. The outer fabric covering to the bouncer is easy to remove for machine washing. The front of the Baby Einstein Lights and Melodies Bouncer features a vibrating control panel. Not only does the control panel give soothing vibrations to your newborn, it also controls the lights and music of the toy. The music is enjoyable for your baby to listen to and the lights, which move and change along with the musical beat, are enchanting to most newborns.

The reason we decided to keep both Baby Einstein Lights and Melodies Bouncers that we received as shower gifts was because we have a house with an up and down stairs. The living area is on the main floor and the nursery is upstairs. Our son had colic and was uncontrollably fussy for the first several months of his life. The Baby Einstein Lights and Melodies Bouncer was one of the few places our newborn son would be calm, even if it was for just a few moments. This bouncer allowed us to take a shower and enjoy a few moments of sanity between fits of screaming from our colicky son.
