It may be impossible to avoid the trend of the technosexual; this melting pot that results from the meandering of high fashion, couture celebrity tech and the brilliance of personalizing gadgets for the city chic. These fantastic, oozing-in-style gadgets are both functional and chic. "Why settle for boring?" when you can look like the coolest female executive on the subway.

I ask myself, what would Carrie Bradshaw do? When Paris Hilton was spotted toting around her glam Blackberry drenched in Swarovski crystals, I thought an MTV generational stunt, until Ms. "Sex and the City" was spotted with a similar ritz blitz. What's not to like about a phone that screams "bling". We can't pretend that diamonds aren't a girls' best friend and this new fashion accessory looks more like jewelry than a cell phone.

Bigger is better; why not carry that tune into our work world? I don't buy designer suits and bags to look fabulous at work only to be man-handled by boring black leather laptop cases and generic cells. I love Burberry and Juicy Couture for their style. I want my world glam with a Tulip Diamond edition notebook to go with my $500 Manolo Blahniks; selling for a solid 283,000 euros and encrusted with 80 karats of microscopic diamonds, this certainly is the wave of the future, but I'd settle for a Voodoo notebook. Inspired by the seven deadly sins, these bewitching gems come in colors like pink, red and gold.

Now that celebrity designers Kimora Lee Simons and Vivien Westwood offer $600 designer cell phones and Gwen Stefani's million-dollar stamp is on the new HP Photosmart R607 Harajuku Lovers digital camera, technology power companies are jumping on the style bandwagon. Powering up front are geek chic skins by Roland Mouret. Siemens new CL75 floral print cell phone is sure to dazzle. Julien McDonald's designer laptop case looks like a designer handbag and it drains your bank like one too. Other trendy cases that promise to cradle your equipment in style but won't break the bank are the new Acme designer slim and the Patrick bag sold exclusively at Wabags.
