Turn off the lights
WHEN YOU NEED TO SHARPEN YOUR PENCIL
Always have 2 sharpened pencils in your desk; pencils may be sharpened before school begins and at other designated times ONLY.
If you need a pencil during the day, exchange your pencil for a sharpened pencil (the cup of pencils will be located by the sharpener). - this will help with the sharpener not disturbing other students.

Name and student number

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU FINISH YOUR ASSIGNMENT
A list of many, many choices will be posted. You may choose any option off the list; however, some options require teacher approval (see sample list below)Always make sure to check over your work and complete any unfinished work prior to doing anything else.
WHAT TO DO WITH FINISHED WORK
Hold onto your work, unless asked to turn it into tray upon completion.
Some work we will check as a group prior to turning it in.
Some work will not be collected. Listen for directions for each lesson.
Make sure to turn in assignments on time. Five points will be deducted per day on late work.
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU HAVE A QUESTION.
You may ask a neighbor for help as long as:
it does not disrupt your classmates
it does not involve asking for an answer
Try to ask at least 3 people before asking the teacher (if appropriate).
Raise your hand if you need immediate assistance from the teacher. Please wait to be called upon.
In an emergency, go to the teacher.
