Kings - the King of Drinking Games

Fun for the Whole Party

The name of the game is Kings, which has many variations of the rules but here is my set of rules which work very well and always promise a fun game with lots of drinks passed out. It is a very fun game and generally is played with 4 or more people you can play with fewer people but it
takes away from the fun. So let’s get to the rules of the game.

So you take a deck of cards and spread it generally in a circle, each card in the deck has a different "Drink" value. For this game we will start with the low cards and work our way upward. 2-9 are worth their face value in drinks. Black cards you pass out the face amount in drinks to other players, and red you take that amount of drinks yourself. So a black 4 you can give out 4 drinks total to other players, you can split up the drinks between different players, so if there are 4 players, you can give one drink to each player. If you draw a red 9 you drink 9 drinks yourself.

Now the 10 to Ace are all special cards, their color doesn’t matter neither does their suit. The 10’s are socials, when some one draws this card everyone cheers and then takes one drink together. If anyone forgets to cheers then they drink an extra drink.

The Jack is what we call “Rhyme Time” this is where the person who drew the card will start off with a one syllable word and each player afterwards has to rhyme with another one syllable word. There can be no repeats of words and the words have to be real words and can only be one syllable. The first person to break the rules or not think of a word has to take one drink.

Queens are categories, this is where the person who drew the card picks a category and then people have to name things that fit into the category. Categories can be nearly endless some popular ones are types of beer, sports teams, and drinking games. Again there can be no repeats of a category and the first person who breaks the rules has to take a drink.
