Las Vegas....what does it conjure up in your mind when you hear those words? For me, I think of the great times we had in that "sin city" when we went every other year to the Health Food conventions we were invited to back in the 70's and 80's, or the 6 hour car trips we took over the desert from L.A, after visiting our relatives in La La Land.... I always think of the fun we had on each and every visit. Now I also think of the TV show, Las Vegas, one of our favorite shows and one that my hubby and I actually sit down together to watch.

I don't know what it is about the show that brings us back each Friday night, the fact that, yes, it is a bit of a soap opera surprises me that hubby likes it... but Las Vegas is a fast paced action filled show that bills itself as a dramatic comedy of sorts and features sexy looking women all over the place, and that it's shot in the city itself revealing the glitz and glitter of that town when the camera pans the hotel strip, always and exciting sight. Las Vegas also attracts many guest stars which brings the show

Or is it the cast? With it's stars, James Caan, as Ed Deline, the owner of the Montecito hotel where all the excitement takes place, (though he is leaving sometime soon after the season starts), Josh Duhamel, (formally of All My Children fame), the cutie patootie who plays Danny, head of security, also plagued by memories of his days in the Gulf war, (Vanessa Marcel, formally of General Hospital fame), who plays Sam, a striking beauty who is in charge of assuring that the hotel guests are happy and spending money on the gambling tables, even if it means she does get into trouble often, then there's Ed's daughter, the dippy Delinda, (Molly Sims), and Mary,(Nikki Cox), who used to be Danny's high school sweetie, they rekindled that romance one year but now it's over...at least for him...then there is Ed's wife, still beautiful ex model/actress Cheryl Ladd...another cast member of importance is Mike Cannon, (James Leisure), who used to be a car valet but now also heads the security team with Danny.

Now this one I watched every week when in the US... over here it keeps changing time slots too much to try to keep up with. Besides, man, James Caan made this show, in my eyes. I like Selleck, but them are some very big shoes to fill.
