Why WWE Should Cut Down the Number of PPVs Per Year

The WWE it seemed would run a PPV every 2 weeks with a hefty price of $40 and for some months equaling up to $80 assuming that both PPVs that month were bought. This year however has seen for sure at least 1 PPV being cancelled being then ECW Only PPV December
to Dismember. Last year it was like 3 PPVs in a span of 5 weeks and that's not including a TNA PPV. The consumers wallet would be hit very hard as $40 per event would equal up to nearly $600 or higher before this year. There is also the possibility of WWE PPV Armageddon being cancelled as there is no venure hosting it but it is not certain. If it does happen, it wouldn't be missed a whole lot considering the fact that PPVs don't have that special feel anymore and it's like the minute a PPV is done, all of a sudden another one pops out.

As far as being paying to see it, that market has lost some people but still has people buying just about every month or every other. If there weren't as many major events, it would probably have more of a special feel and get time to build up a good storyline. For instance, some of the storylines either just gets thrown together at the last minute or a long feud could be just thrown at the last possible second with no real reason whatsoever. An example of a feud that didn't get a lot of build or any reason to be excited about would be the tag team title feud for Unforgiven with London and Kendrick against Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. Sure, there has been a little build but it could have been more. Plus, there was the Deuce and Domino against MVP and Matt Hardy being a team for the tag titles and that wasn't built up a bit.
